Maybe That's Why Dreams Burn Brightest in the Country

Here we go again, here we go!
Endless possibilities, adventures, await
The sky’s the limit, they shouted, the sky! The stars!
Reach for them, really reach—
Stretch out your fingers, to the tips.
Can’t you feel them? Can’t you feel the heat, the lights of dreams coming true?
Look up, look up! Everybody can see them, burning bright.
So follow your dreams, move to the cities, and follow them.
Follow them with everything you’ve got.
And as the years slip by, your habit of staring at the stars will eventually disappear
Whether you’ve touched them in the end or not.
Whether you’ve grasped them in your hands and burned your skin.
You look up, met with a blank night sky
The stars have fallen to the street lamps nearby.
