And We Will Try Again (Endless End)

An instinct of guilt trickles down my body
from head to earth ceaselessly to this day
I have grown accustomed forgotten its origins
clenched my teeth with eyes digging deep
into memory past
Our mother slaves in the kitchen
blessed with children
ringed with vast potential
only to be squandered
by hopes and dreams
An entire race seeks forgiveness
The bristle of beads
cemented between their fingers
and victims alone long departed
acquiesce them for harvest
The land is deferential
the flesh tramples ahead
when there’s nothing there
but the waste and debris left behind
Splicing the same feeling inside
